How long have you lived in Carrick?
I have lived in Carrick my entire life. I am the 4th generation of a family that has lived in Carrick for 6 generations. I attended St. Basil’s grade school and high school and I am a lifetime member of St. Basil’s Parish (Holy Apostles.)
What do you like most about Carrick?
I like the cultural diversity and the strong sense of community represented by these groups: Friends of Carrick Library, Friends of Phillip’s Park, Carrick Youth Athletic Association, Carrick-Overbrook Historical Society, Carrick Businessmen Association, etc.
Why did you want to be on the Carrick Community Council Board of Directors?
I welcome the opportunity to vigorously support and help the different Carrick Communities grow and prosper.
What professional, leadership, community involvement, or board experience have you had?
I am the founder and retired Director of the McCarl Nontraditional Student Success Center at the University of Pittsburgh where I continue to teach Public Service courses in the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. I also serve as the Vice President of the Board Of Directors of Pittsburgh Action Housing as well as, the President Of Carrick Community Council.
